TRi KiDS Triathlon Series is proud to support the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario or POGO. In 2009, TRi KiDS athletes raised $17,000 through personal fundraising.
The Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO) was founded in 1983 by a group of pediatric oncologists to champion childhood cancer care. As the voice of the childhood cancer community, POGO works to ensure that all of Ontario 's children have equal access to state-of-the-art diagnosis, treatment and required services. They also aim to make certain that Ontario 's children have the greatest prospects for survival with an optimal quality of life. They know that the road traveled by children affected by cancer and their families is long, painful and frightening.
Here's how TRi KiDS participants can help:
Once your child(ren) sign up to participate in one or more of the TRi KiDS races you can help them raise funds through a personalized online donation page or by printing off a TRi KiDS/POGO pledge form.
If you choose to set up an online donation page you will be directed through this link that will take you to a secure registration page to set up your personalized fundraising page. Here you can post a picture and enter a statement. Family and friends can donate to their TRi KiDS athlete directly through this secure site and an email will be sent to the participant alerting him/her to the pledge made in their name.
We encourage you to visit POGO's website by clicking on their logo below for more information about their programs and partnerships.
